Of all the members of the Russian team at the London Match of the Century in 1984, only Anatoly Karpov and Garry Kasparov will be members of the present team. The rest of the participants are very young but very well known in the chess world. Four world champions will play for the Russian team: the above-mentioned Karpov and Kasparov, as well as Vladimir Kramnik and Alexander Khalifman. The members of the teams are listed according to their ranking, starting from the highest-ranked member. The Captain of the Russian team is the president of the Russian Chess Federation Andrei Selivanov. |
