The world team has completely changed since 1984. Its quite significant that many of its members are former citizens of the Soviet Union — additional proof that the traditions of the Soviet chess school are still very strong. The members of the teams are listed according to their rankings, starting from the highest-ranked member. The Captain of the World team is FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. |
